Diriyah Gate Development Authority | WTTC Immersive Experience

‘How do you bring to life 300 Years of Culture in 6 weeks?’

Inviting media guests on a magical journey through time to create an unforgettable experience in Diriyah; UNESCO listed World Heritage site, world’s largest mud-brick city and the birthplace of the modern Saudi state.

The City of Earth opened its doors for the World Travel & Tourism Council global summit, and as part of the Open collective we conceived, created and choreographed a live and layered immersive experience.

A purpose built temporary venue that revealed moments from the past, authentic cultural traditions and stories alongside visions of Diriyah’s future and the development of the next generation smart city.

Immersive Storytelling

Creative director working with specialist partners, to transform a 1200 square meter concrete shell into an authentic Najdi influenced immersive theatre.

Blending traditional storytelling, authentic scenic detail and digital canvases, the creative development immersed guests and supported the story with local actors and cultural artisans.

Traditionally re-creating vignettes with digital doorways to augment magical animated backdrops and scenes of Diriyah city life to transform audience perceptions and to experience live and engaging storytelling at a human scale.
