Making the World of Flow | EXPO 2020 | DP World
‘Optimising visitor experience through digitisation, predictive modelling and movement analytics’
Designing a seamless visitor journey across the scale of the EXPO 2020 Pavilion that defined the guest experience and maintained visitor flow for all audiences was one of the greatest challenges faced on a project of this scale.
Working with Open and specialist collaborators across the Global pandemic, we used digitisation, predictive modelling and movement analytics to optimise the experience, to define spatial parameters, wayfinding orientation and to outline depth of interaction and storytelling.
Digital creates physical creates digital
The unique blend of physical space, digital experience and innovative storytelling delivered a unique next-generation visitor experience.
Architecture, visual communication and materials all worked together to create an immersive atmosphere within seamlessly connected and open gallery spaces, while still maintaining the colourful and energetic character of ‘flow’.
Using architectural scaled content surfaces and dynamic lighting - realtime animated content added to the data driven qualities, and futuristic setting; virtually and physically sharing DP World’s digital vision with millions of people in a programme and experience, that extended beyond EXPO.
Plans are underway for life beyond EXPO as a technical centre for logistics innovation excellence.
